ܘܐܬܥܫܢ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܪܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܘܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗ ܥܡܗ ܘܐܘܪܒܗ ܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ
w'theshn shlymwn brh ddwyd bmlkwthh wmry' 'lhh emh w'wrbh lel mn klhwn mlkyh d're'
Solomon the son of David was firmly established in his kingdom, and Yahweh his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.

ܘܐܡܪ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܪܘܪ̈ܒܢܐ ܕܐ̈ܠܦܐ ܘܕܡܐ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܠܕ̇ܝ̈ܢܐ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܪ̈ܝܫܐ ܕܐܒܗ̈ܬܐ
w'mr shlymwn lklh 'ysryl lrwrbn' d'lp' wdm'wth' wldyn' wlklhwn rwrbn' rysh' d'bhth'
Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers’ households.

ܘܐܙܠ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܟܠ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܡܗ ܠܒܘܣܡܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܒܓܒܥܘܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܬܡܢ ܗܘܐ ܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܥܐܕܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܡܘܫܐ ܥܒ̣ܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ

Then Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for God’s Tent of Meeting was there, which Yahweh’s servant Moses had made in the wilderness.

ܠܘܩܒܠ ܩܒܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܣܩܗ̇ ܗܘܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܟܦܪ̈ܘܢܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܬܩܢ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ̇ ܕܘܝܕ ܕܘܟܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܩܫ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ̇ ܡܫܟܢܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ
lwqbl qbwthh dmry' w'sqh hw' dwyd mn qryth' dkprwn' 'yk' dthqn hw' lh dwyd dwkth' mTl dnqsh hw' lh mshkn' b'wrshlm
But David had brought God’s ark up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

ܘܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܢܚܫܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܗܘܐ ܒܨܠܝܐܝܠ ܒܪ ܐܘܪܝ ܒܪ ܚܘܪ ܣܝܡ ܗܘܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܬܒܥܗ ܗܘܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܟܘܠܗ̇ ܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
wmdbkh' dnkhsh' debd hw' btsly'yl br 'wry br khwr sym hw' qdm mshkn' dmry' wthbeh hw' shlymwn wkwlh knwshth' d'ysryl
Moreover the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was there before Yahweh’s tabernacle; and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.

ܘܐܣܩ ܗܘܐ ܬܡܢ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܥܠ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܢܚܫܐ ܕܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܥܐܕܐ ܘܩܪܒ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܐܠܦ
w'sq hw' thmn shlymwn el mdbkh' dnkhsh' dqdm mry' d'yth hw' bmshkn' de'd' wqrb elwhy elwth' 'lp
Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before Yahweh, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.

ܒܠܠܝܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܐܬܓܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܚܠܡܐ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܫܐܠ ܡܕܡ ܘܐܬܠ ܠܟ

That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for what you want me to give you.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܥܒܕܬ ܥܡ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܝ ܚܣܕܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܬܢܝ ܠܝ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪܗ
w'mr shlymwn lmry' 'nth ebdth em dwyd 'by khsd' rb' w'qymthny ly bmlkwth' mn bthrh
Solomon said to God, “You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܝ ܢܫܪ̈ܢ ܡܟܝܠ ܡܠܝ̈ܟ ܕܡܠܠܬ ܥܡ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܝ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܐܢܬ ܐܩܝܡܬܢܝ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܣܓܝ ܗܘ ܐܝܟ ܥܦܪܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ

Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܝܕܥܬܐ ܗܒ ܠܝ ܕܐܗܘܐ ܥܐ̇ܠ ܘܢܦ̇ܩ ܒܪܫܗ ܕܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢܘ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܕܢܗ ܠܥܡܟ ܗܢܐ ܥܡܐ
w'p hsh' khkmth' wydeth' hb ly d'hw' e'l wnpq brshh dem' hn' mTl dmnw mshkkh lmdnh lemk hn' em'
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܚܠܦ ܕܗܘܬ ܗܕܐ ܒܪܥܝܢܟ ܘܠܐ ܫܐܠܬ ܠܟ ܢܟܣ̈ܐ ܘܐܝܩܪ̈ܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܐ ܕܒܥܠܕܒ̈ܒܝܟ ܘܠܐ ܫܐܠܬ ܠܟ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܣܓ̈ܝܐܐ ܕܬܚܐ ܒܗܘܢ ܘܫܐܠܬ ܠܟ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܬܕܘܢ ܠܥܡܝ ܕܐܩܝܡܬܟ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܥܠܘܗܝ

God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor yet have you asked for long life; but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king,

ܘܐܦ ܡܕܡ ܕܠܐ ܫܐܠܬ ܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܝܕܥܬܐ ܘܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܢܟܣ̈ܐ ܘܐܝܩܪܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܟܘܬܟ ܒܡܠܟ̈ܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܩܡܘ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܘܒܬܪܟ ܠܐ ܢܩܘܡ ܐܟܘܬܟ

therefore wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you, and none after you will have.”

ܘܐܬܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܒܘܣܡܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܓܒܥܘܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܡܢ ܡܕܢܚܐ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܥܐܕܐ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܥܠ ܟܘܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
w'th' shlymwn lbwsm' rb' d'yth bgbewn qryth' mn mdnkh' d'wrshlm mn qdm mshkn' de'd' w'mlk el kwlh 'ysryl
So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.

ܘܟܢܫ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܙܘܓ̈ܐ ܘܦܪ̈ܫܐ ܘܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܐܠܦ ܘܐܪܒܥܡܐܐ ܙܘܓ̈ܝܢ ܘܬܪ̈ܥܣܪ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܦܪ̈ܫܝܢ ܘܐܩܝܡ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܙܘ̈ܓܐ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܡܢܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ

Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

ܘܝܗܒ ܡܠܟܐ ܟܣܦܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܐܝܟ ܟܐܦ̈ܐ ܘܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܝܟ ܚܠܐ ܕܥܠ ܣܦܬ ܝܡܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ

The king made silver and gold to be as common as stones in Jerusalem, and he made cedars to be as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

ܘܙܒ̇ܢܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬ ܐ̈ܦܠܝܐ ܬܓܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬ ܐ̈ܦܠܝܐ ܒܕܡ̈ܝܐ
wzbnyn hww rksh' lshlymwn mn mtsryn wmn mdynth 'ply' thgrwhy dmlk' wmn mdynth 'ply' bdmy'
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and from Kue. The king’s merchants purchased them from Kue.

ܘܣ̇ܠܩܝܢ ܘܙ̇ܒܢܝܢ ܙܘܓܐ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ ܒܫܬܡܐܐ ܕܟܣܦܐ ܘܣܘܣܝܐ ܒܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܠܟܘܠ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܚ̈ܬܝܐ ܘܠܡ̈ܠܟܝ ܐܕܘܡ ܘܒܐܝܕ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܡܦܩܝܢ
wslqyn wzbnyn zwg' mn mtsryn bshthm'' dksp' wswsy' bm'' wkhmshyn whkn' lkwl mlk' khthy' wlmlky 'dwm wb'ydyhwn mpqyn
They imported from Egypt then exported a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver and a horse for one hundred fifty. They also exported them to the Hittite kings and the Syrian kings.
